In my case the problem was caused by a programming error: I had an asp.net page that created a thread and was waiting for it to complete, but the thread was I uninstalled the thrid party software after having found a more robust replacement for the same price and have had no further issues. Everything else was/is working and this app was working on the internal NIC for quite a while (6months or so). Steps: Download Microsoft .NET Framework SP1 ("NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-X86.exe").

There is no setup...there are no setup files...could it be something to do with the JIT compilation of the MSIL code or something? The data field contains the error number.
