I wonder though, have you considered the ramifications of using such an approach with regards to the maintainability of the code? Adding more controls or code gets me the Run-time error '2115'. other fields, else you will get this exact error. Can't seem to get any ideas here. Check This Out

The same solution might work by putting the reformatting in an AfterUpdate procedure but, in my case, there was already a fairly complex procedure there that I didn't want to disturb. Summary of what this is supposed to do: 1) User selects a letter (or *=ALL) in lbxAlpha - This test only has *;A;C;E 2) lbxSelect displays all Titles/Names for that letter changing to .value instead of .text worked for me in Access 2010.
