After reading posts here, I verified that the "failed startup" of Outlook was in fact related to a Fast-User-Switching event.As Pete recommended, I renamed the "MSOUPLUG.DLL" to "MSOUPLUG.DLL.OLD" (in file folder BTW - I'm running Outlook 2000 on XP Mediacenter.
